Heavy rain disrupted Saturday’s Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division fixtures.
Angle drew
3-3 at home against Clarbeston Road. Ben Adams, Sam Richards and Nick Willis netted for the homesters, whilst the visitors’ secured a point with goals scored by Jason Griffiths, Tom Glover and Mike Turpin.
Monkton Swifts thrashed Narberth
6-1 at Monkton Lane; James Russell scored a brilliant hat-trick alongside a brace from Patrick Mcdonagh and a solitary effort by Ryan Griffiths.
Merlins Bridge lost
1-4 against Lamphey. This was a second defeat in a row for The Wizards as their title chances have well and truly been dented. Will Haworth netted The Wizards’ only goal, but The Stags collected all three points thanks to goals from Jason Evans, Billy Davies, Mikey Davies and an own goal.
Carew v Goodwick United and Hakin United v Pennar both postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
Neyland v West Dragons was also postponed. Sadly West Dragons have pulled out of the league with only four games of their season to complete. The Dragons’ second team pulled out before Christmas and after several manager changes during the season, they didn’t have enough players to finish the campaign.
