Bitter sweet for Wolvesey

“It was a bitter sweet situation for me," said Wayne Jones. "Sean Cresser and I are good pals and he has done a brilliant job, but things happen in football and life that you don’t have any control.

“I was delighted to be offered the job again with the club, and there was no way I was turning it down after speaking with the players and staff.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of taking the team forward and following on all the good work that Sean Cresser has done over the years.

“The team has had a decent start to the season and I will be striving to keep the continuity going.”
