Haverfordwest County FC want more supporters to turn up for their home games at the Conygar Bridge Meadow Stadium and get behind the team.

With the recent well documented plight of Merthyr Town on the brink of bankruptcy, forcing the club to get rid of all their top players, the valley community have pulled together and the Martyrs are having in excess of a 1,000 people through the turnstiles.

The Bluebirds have appealed for people to get behind their charge for the title.

The club’s Facebook page, stated: "Could this be the moment when Haverfordwest County starts to earn the support it deserves? A tight group of talented players are producing good football and results.

“However, sadly only several dozen old faithful’s are there to support each week. The county town surely deserves a competitive football club playing at the highest possible level?

“A good following should be part of any on-field success and the players, management and directors would welcome the support of any Pembrokeshire folk to the Meadow.

“Our next home game is December 9 v Port Talbot, 2.30pm, and you are guaranteed a warm welcome.”
