Scott Ferney was the toast of Carew - bagging a stunning hat-trickThere were four games played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division and two matches postponed.

Starting in the game of the day, at the Racecourse, Merlins Bridge narrowly lost 3-4 against arch rivals Hakin United. Adam Hawkins scored a brace alongside a solitary strike by Ben Davies for The Wizards. The Vikings secured the precious points thanks to goals from Gareth Fawcett, Nicky Woodrow, Daniel Armstrong and an own goal.This was The Vikings’ tenth win of the season from eleven matches and they have gone two points clear in the table ahead of last season’s champions Monkton Swifts.

Richard Bevan 2, Ben John, Keegan Summers, Matt Ellis and Joules Ward scored for Clarbeston Road who convincingly beat Pennar Robins 6-2 at home. Josh Hicks and Connor Roberts replied for the visitors.

Neyland were thrashed 1-11 at home by on fire Carew who moved up to third in the table. Deadly striker Scott Ferney banged in six goals for The Rooks, Fraser Findlay got a brace and there was one each for Alex Bayley and Sonny Phillips, plus an own goal. Jason Griffiths was on target with The Nomads’ only goal of a day to quickly forget.

Bottom of the table Saundersfoot Sports finally picked up their first league point of the season with a 2-2 draw at home with fellow strugglers St Clears. Adam Davidson scored an excellent double for the homesters and William Evans and Danny Peters struck for The Saints.

Monkton Swifts v Goodwick United and Fishguard Sports v Narberth were both postponed.
