The sun was out, the course in great condition, and the golf was - well, of mixed quality.

But it all made for another highly successful Thomas Carroll Golf Day at Milford Haven this month, as 26 local groups were represented in teams of three and played a Texas Scramble format on a Milford haven Golf Club course looking in outstanding condition.

J P Junior Scaffolding Ltd were the overall winners, as golfers from a wide range of the sporting spectrum turned out in support, and Thomas Carroll company director Robert Jones, a former Welsh rugby international, was delighted with how the day unfolded.

“It was another hugely successful and enjoyable day at Milford," he said, where we were blessed with superb sunshine and a course that was in wonderful nick."

Fifth time at the club – and definitely not the last!

It was the fifth time the event had been held and Jones said there would be more to follow.

"We are absolutely delighted with the support we have had from the West Wales business community since Simon Lawrence and his team opened our Haverfordwest office, and the day is all about saying a big thank you for the backing they have given us in the past five years.

"Simon and his team have done a tremendous job in raising the profile and reputation of Thomas Carroll throughout the region, and we are committed to ensuring continued future growth in the years ahead. We look forward to welcoming everyone back again next year."

Prizes were also handed out for Nearest to Pin and the Longest Drive, and all players were able to enjoy complimentary food and drinks afterwards.
