Under 12s Cup Final:
Young Vikings plunder more silverware
Hakin United 6 Tenby 0
Venue: Monkton Lane, Monkton
Referee: Jeff Hurton
Assistants: Dave Badger and Keith McNiffe
Hakin United completed their total dominance of the age-group as they followed up a 100% record over 18 games with this heavy defeat of a Tenby side which deserves credit for the fact that they never gave up trying until the final whistle.
Hakin had reached the final without conceding a single goal and again Lewis Atkins kept a clean scoresheet, despite the efforts of the Tenby side to find the net.
Game already won at half time
The young Vikings were already 4-0 ahead by half time as Ben Fawcett claimed a hat-trick and the other goal was scored by Jack Wilson.
Fawcett showed his goal-scoring prowess again after half time as he scored the team’s goal No 5 and Cameron Thomas added another as his volley from 25 yards flew into the net.
But Tenby coach Adam Brown was pleased that his players kept plugging away and some determined defence prevented any further scoring against a team which has nine players representing the county in the Welsh under 12 finals.

Under 13 Cup Final:
Cam complete historic treble
Camrose 2 Clarbeston Road 1
Venue: Marble Hall, Milford Haven
Referee: Chris Stapleton
Assistants: Alan Buckfield and Chris Phillips
Camrose completed a splendid treble as they followed up their league title and historic victory in the West Wales Cup with this hard-fought success over Clarbeston Road in an excellent final at Marble Hall.
Camrose were without influential midfielder Matthew Delaney and had ace goal-scorer Morgan Thomas carrying an injury that saw him leave the action at half time but that takes nothing away from the gritty display by the Clarbie youngsters. They had lost heavily in both league matches but they simply rolled up their sleeves and had chances to level matters late on in an absorbing clash as Camrose were unable to sustain any lengthy periods of pressure.
Rees opens the scoring for Cam
Clarbie had Josh Wood as an influential skipper and goalkeeper George Incledon as one of the contenders for the man of the match award as he looked really solid, whilst Regan Pallas and Curtis Hicks covered well at the back and Charlie Davies and Travis O’Connor also caught the eye for Camrose.
Camrose started well enough and twice rapped the bar early on through Geraint Rees and Hicks, whilst a long range shot by Clarbie’s Emlyn Davies also struck the woodwork and bounced clear before Cam took the lead when Ingledon made a good save but the ball rebounded to Geraint Rees and he netted from close range.
More goals
But Clarbie levelled with a cracking goal from a free kick by skipper Wood, curing the ball over the wall and into the top corner.
Their joy was curtailed, though, as Camrose regained the initiative and a good Travis O’Connor cross produced a free far-post header for Curtis Hicks to put them 2-1 ahead at the interval.
The second half was equally competitive and fast-flowing and although both sides had half chances there was no further scoring so that Camrose were triumphant and dedicated their win to Matthew Delaney – but Clarbeston Road’s young players share the credit for creating an excellent final.

Under 14 Final:
Cai claims vital late winner for Tenby
Haverfordwest Cricket Club 0 Tenby 1
Referee: Kevin Milich
Assistants: Chris Stapleton and Steve Williams
Venue: Marble Hall, Milford Haven
Cai Elms was the hero of the hour for Tenby under 14s as his late, late goal gave them a narrow win over Haverfordwest Cricket Club, just when a extra time seemed a certainty.
Both teams had enjoyed periods of pressure where goalkeepers Tom Phillips (Haverfordwest CC) and Callum Joslyn (Tenby had made good saves but with referee Kevin Milich taking a first look at his watch the ball was played forward by Max Brindley and Ryan Conbeer to Tom Murphy, who seemed to be blocked out by the Cricket Club defence.
But the ball fell to Elms and after beating his marker he unleashed an unstoppable shot into the net and was immediately mobbed by his delighted colleagues.
Tenby make the better start
Tenby had the better of the chances in the first period as the wind helped their play towards the clubhouse but although Truman and Murphy threatened they couldn’t quite find the net.
It was a similar story after the interval as Joslyn blocked Lucas George and then Conbeer did the same when the ball rebounded – and in the same period George Evans forced a superb save from Joslyn.
Murphy was put through in a one-on-one for Tenby but fired wide, although it mattered little in the final analysis and Elms’ late strike gave Tenby the silverware!

Tenby: Callum Joslyn: Tom James; Tom Rossiter; James Harries; Ryan Conbeer; Max Brindley; Toby Poole; Tom Murphy; Ben Palin; Billy Truman; Harry Phillips; Cai Elms; Myles Johnson; James Richards.
Under 15s Final:
Lewis leads Villa to yet another trophy
Hundleton 0 Prendergast Villa 5
Venue: Marble Hall, Milford Haven
Referee: Tudor Walters
Assistants: Dave Badger and John Lewis
A superb hat-trick by striker Jack Lewis helped Prendergast Villa’s talented young under 15s team beat their counterparts from Hundleton and claim another trophy in their long time together under the coaching of Mike ‘Glenys’ Davies.
The first quarter of the match was very even as Dylan Davies and Wes Blunsden were strong at the back for Hundleton before Lewis used his pace to good effect as he latched on to two balls over the top of the Hundleton back four and found the net with well-placed shots that gave his side a 2-0 interval lead.
Lewis adds a third
Lewis added a third soon after the restart as skipper Jake Davies and Leon Williams played well, and other goals were claimed by Jake Jenkins, who lurked with intent in the six-yard box to tap in after Hundleton keeper Liam Feinhage had done well to parry a free kick, and then Patrick Pearce, who netted from a corner.
Villa manager Davies was delighted with the way that his young side played and said,
“My boys were on good form and deserved their win, although Hundleton never gave up trying and have some very good players.”
“We battled hard and I am proud that my team has reached its first-ever final. They lost 9-1 and 3-2 in the league against this very good Villa team and will have learned a lot. We will enjoy the rest of our evening – and still have smiles on our faces,” said opposing manager Gareth Davies.

Prendergast Villa: Jonathan Clout: Jordan Frank; Leon Williams; Thomas Beardsley; William Bateman: Jake Davies; Patrick Pearce; Jake Jenkins; Daniel Williams: Jack Lewis; Callum Achmed. Subs: Kyle Williams; Lewis Watts.
Under 16s Cup Final:
Carew upset Dragons’ double dreams
Carew 2 West Dragons 1
Carew claimed the surprise win in the junior cup finals as they took on the powerful West Dragons’ team which had defeated them twice in the league and came away with their first-ever trophy in their final season together.
Small wonder that coaches Kim Davies and Barry Lewis were delighted because they had lost 5-2 against the Dragons only a week before – and it looked as if it might be the league and cup double for the Dragons as they opened the scoring with a good goal by Scott Ferney.
Carew’s battling qualities pay off
But Carew kept plugging away and they levelled matters just before half time when Lloyd Hughes crossed the ball into the danger zone for skipper Scott Cowper to volley into the top corner of the net.
Hughes was also involved in what turned out to be the winning goal as he did well to reach the bye-line and pull the ball back for Liam Marklow, who was lurking with intent and knocked the ball down for Alex Moore to beat Lewis Atkins in the Dragons’ net.
The game was well controlled by Tom Bevan and Dragons’ boss Jamie Palmer was quick to praise both teams afterwards. Prior to the start a minutes’ silence as a mark of respect for Emma Scourfield, the late wife of Carew stalwart Roger Scourfield, was immaculately observed by all in attendance.
Carew: Will Davies: Tom Baker; Sam Lewis; Alex Hay; Jeff Downes: Liam Marklow; Scott Cowper; Mark Davies; Lloyd Hughes; Adrian Marshall: Alex Moore. Subs: Will Griffin; Luke James; Tom Harries; Mark Shalcross; James Brace.
West Dragons: Lewis Atkins: Charlie Edge; Jordan Thomas; Lewis Boswell; Daniel Harding: Jack Johnson; Joe Brill; Tom Harvey; Morgan Ingle: Scott Ferney; Bradley Hewitt. Subs: Joseph Lewin; Rhys Bullock.
