Town win top clash at the Athletic Ground
Neyland (213 for 6) lost to Haverfordwest (217 for 5) by 5 wickets
Umpires: Dave Brandon & John Williams
Scorers: John Laugharne & Jayne Cole
Haverfordwest maintained their 100% start to the new campaign as they beat one of the other championship contenders Neyland on their own pitch at the Athletic Ground.
The home side amassed a big score of 213 for 6 in their allotted overs but The Town, inspired by an excellent unbeaten innings from Dai Davies, ended up victors with five wickets and eight balls in hand.
Patrick Bellerby led the Neyland batting with an excellent 74 that contained 13 boundaries, sharing in a partnership of 81 with Nick Koomen (43) and then 78 with in-form batsman Andrew Miller, who had five fours and a six in his 50 before a late 17 not out by Scott Jones took Neyland well past the 200 mark.
For The Town, their main bowlers were Adam James (2 for 49) and Gareth Davies, whose canny slow stuff earned him figures of 4 for 56.
Ben Field (35) started the Haverfordwest reply off well before a stand of 99 between Dai Davies and skipper Danny Potter (seven fours and a six in his 56) put his team in the ascendancy. Davies stroked eight boundaries and a six in his 93 not out and was joined in an unbroken stand of 52 by Adam Raymond (15) so that The Town were worthy winners, despite useful bowling by Nathan Banner (2 for 57), Andrew Miller (2 for 57) and Patrick Hannon (1 for 40).

Cresselly cruise to easy victory
Cresselly (158 for 2) beat Whitland (157 for 8) by 8 wickets
Umpires: Tony Waldeis & Rob Couzens
Scorers: Tegan Wainwright (Cresselly)
It took Cresselly fewer than 35 overs to chase down Whitland’s 157 for 8 tally as Iwan Izzard and Simon Cole batted really well after Matthew ‘Titch’ Davies had been responsible for almost half of Whitland’s runs.
Davies scored 70, including seven fours and a six, before he was dismissed from the final ball of their 45 overs, with only Wayne Howells (37) and Iestyn Scourfield (28) managing double figures in support against Tom Arthur (2 for 21), Sam Harts (2 for 44), Ollie Richards (1 for 34) and Simon Cole (2 for 30).
Cresselly lost ace run gatherer Adam Chandler for 22 but then Izzard and Cole joined forces in an unbroken stand of 110 where Izzard struck 11 fours in his 61 not out and Cole remained unbeaten on 56 (seven boundaries).

Johnston take the honours in double-quick time
Llanrhian (112 all out) lost to Johnston (113 for 2) by 8 wickets
Umpires: Trefor Evans & Hilliard Davies
Scorer: Delyth Summons (Johnston)
Johnston were speedy winners at Llandigige Fawr as they dismissed Llanrhian for 112 runs in the 33rd over before reaching their target for the loss of only two wickets in just 18.3 overs.
Only Ben Jones (25), Paul Lewis (17) and Tom Dunn (18) ever really looked settled against Chris Fitzpatrick, whose 5 for 22 analysis included a hat-trick, supported by Chris Phillips (3 for 23), veteran Richard James (1 for 24) and Steve Mills (1 for 15).
Mills then proceeded to dominate the Llanrhian bowlers in typical attack mode so that although Dafydd Williams and Luke jones claimed a wicket apiece for the home side he smashed 11 fours and three sixes in his powerful 67 not out.
Lee Summons was also in good nick at the other end to reach 25 not out (five fours) and it showed what Johnston can do when they are on top form!

Father and son duo lead Lawrenny to success
Narberth (150 all out) lost to Lawrenny (252 for 6) by 126 runs
Umpires: Tony Scourfield & Glyn Pawlett
Scorers: Emma Richards & Malcolm Thomas
The father and son combination of Ian Jenkins and Brad McDermott-Jenkins were instrumental in helping Lawrenny to victory by a massive 126 runs at the Lewis Lloyd Ground.
Son Brad gave the innings early impetus with nine fours and two sixes in his early partnership with Harry Thomas (six fours and a six before he was caught on 49) – and dad Ian maintained the late momentum with an unbeaten 50 not out (three fours and two sixes) as he and Simon ‘Chief’ Cole (six fours and two sixes) took Lawrenny to a huge total, aided and abetted by some dropped catches at key times from Narberth as Ben Hughes (3 for 66), Ben Quartermaine (2 for 49) and Kamel Sharma (1 for 23) were the best Narberth bowlers.
Ritchie Adams (26), skipper Ben Quartermaine (21), and Sharma (19) supported Ben Hughes (a boundary-sprinkled 57 not out) but Jamie Lewis sped in to grab 5 for 38 and found support from Rob Williams (2 for 31) and with McDermott-Jenkins and Thomas both claiming wickets to help their side to victory.

Gritty Carew outlast battling Tish
St Ishmaels (185 for 8) lost to Carew (187 for 7) by 3 wickets
Umpires: Allan Hansen & Rob Bellerby
Scorers: Wendy Bradshaw & Julie Davies
There was a tight finish at St Ishmaels as the homesters reached 185 for 8 and then Carew did well to chase it down as an unbroken stand of 47 by Brian Hall and Sean Whitfield saw them home in the 44th over.
Whitfield had also done well with the ball as he picked up 3 for 47 alongside Rhys Davies (2 for 30), Tom Davies (2 for 37) and Ceri Brace (1 for 29) as Phil Cockburn stroked eight fours and a six in his 56, with Dan Howells even quicker in his 54 as he hit five boundaries and three sixes. Andrew Pawlett chipped in with a late 22 not out to give Tish a total that gave them a chance if they could bowl well.
Dean John (1 for 40), Andrew Pawlett (3 for 20) and Andrew Williams (2 for 53) bowled decent spells for Tish against Rhys Davies (33), Nick Davies (28), Ian Sefton (20), and Nick Scourfield (19) and at 140 for 7 Carew still had plenty to do.
But they showed how they bat in depth as Hall (23 not out) and Whitfield (two sixes and two fours in his quick-fire 21 not out) saw Carew home to a welcome win.
