There were six games played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division and Hakin United were well beaten in their FAW Trophy tie at Garden Village.

Carew have moved to the top of the table following their 8-0 against struggling Milford United. The Rooks’ scorers were Jordan Richards 3, Lloyd Hughes 2, Ian Darbyshire, Shaun Whitfield and James Hinchliffe.

Goodwick United drew 2-2 with Monkton Swifts at Phoenix Park. Jordan Griffiths gave Goodwick the lead, but the Swifts hit back with goals from Dylan Davies and James Russell, but the homesters salvaged a point when Griffiths struck his second goal late in the game.

Clarbeston Road won 8-4 against Pennar Robins in a high scoring affair at Knock Field. Grabbing the goals for the Road were Jason Griffiths 3, Sean Seymour-Davies 2, Raph Barnett, Joe Griffiths and player manager Matt Ellis. In reply, Rhys Sture, Sam Southcott, Ben Adams and Josh Clark netted for the visitors.

Lamphey drew 2-2 with St Clears, the visitors took a two-goal lead thanks to Steve Thomas netting a brace, but the Stags hit back with goals by Jack Richards and Evan Stanfield to secure a point.

Merlins Bridge gained a convincing 5-0 victory against Saundersfoot Sports at the Racecourse. The Wizards’ scorers were Will Haworth 2, Dai Davies, Nathan Greene and Joe Leahy.

Neyland gained a slender 1-0 victory at home against Herbrandston. Will Hughes struck a late winner for the Nomads.

In the FAW Trophy third round, Garden Village won 6-0 against Hakin United.
