Borderettes’ Calendar sure to top the charts in Whitland

Whitland RFC revealed almost all for charity recently when the ladies section launched their ‘Naked’ calendar for 2015.

The calendar went sale for the first time at the Whitland Christmas Fair, held at the town's rugby club.

Last year, a similar initiative from the ladies raised £2,500 for charity - and this time around, all funds will be split between Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) and Prostate Cancer UK.

Borderers get involved too

But for the 2105 version, the ladies have also enlisted the help of some of the club's male players, and Angharad Williams explained the reasoning behind the two causes chosen.

Angharad, who for the past two years has been one of the main organisers of the calendar, said: "Because of some of the boys in the club, Prostate Cancer UK is quite close to home - and I chose that charity this year to get them more involved.

"And CRY too. My partner plays for Whitland first team and his cousin, Dean Mason, died of a cardiac arrest when he was just 26."
