Haverfordwest County came from behind to secure a precious point against league leaders Goytre at the Conygar Bridge Meadow.

The Bluebirds took the lead in the third minute; Rhys Dalling pounced on a loose ball inside the box following a parried shot by Steffan Davies.

It was short lived as the visitors levelled matters just two minutes later, Matthew Prosser rising highest in the box to nod home.

Five minutes before the break and the visitors regained the lead when Lewis Sommers struck to give his side a slender 2-1 cushion at half time.

After the break both sides created scoring chances, young stand-in Bluebirds keeper Sam Franklin pulled off a number of impressive saves putting regular James Gwilt under pressure for the number one jersey.

On the 75 minute mark the Bluebirds finally equalised when Steffan Williams struck with a low 15 yard finish to earn his side a thoroughly deserved draw.

Next Saturday, Haverfordwest County entertain high-flying Afan Lido in the Welsh Cup, the tie will kick off at 2.30pm.
