'Battle of the Amazons' a huge success at Pembroke Dock

Pembroke Dock Bowls Club News:
The annual clash of the Amazons, formally known as “Pembroke Dock Ladies Open Triples Competition”, was held on Saturday 27th July and lady bowlers from every corner of the county congregated at the Memorial Park Bowling Green.
After the initial “round robin” matches and before the semi-final and final contests, the Ladies section prepared a delicious lunch for all competitors and supporters.
The eventual winners are pictured, together with Mr Gerard Thomas who officiated at the contest. From left to right they are Mrs Julie Morgan (Haverfordwest BC), Mrs Diana Davies (Pembroke Dock BC) and Mrs Mandy Lewis (Haverfordwest BC).
A sumptuous tea was served up by the Ladies’ section once the formalities were concluded.
