There were seven games played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division on a crisp, sunny afternoon - that made a welcome change!

Angle narrowly lost 0-1 against Merlins Bridge at Windmill Lane. The Wizards’ solitary goal was scored by a powerful Curtis Hicks header to secure the points.

Jason Griffiths scored twice in Clarbys defeat at home against The SwiftsSecond from bottom Herbrandston suffered a slender 0-1 defeat at the hands of Goodwick United; the visitors’ vastly experienced skipper Adam Raymond grabbed the only goal of the game.

Clarbeston Road lost 4-5 at home against third in the table Monkton Swifts at Knock Playing Field. The Road’s scorers were Jason Griffiths (2), Ben Stevens and Steff Thomas. The Swifts claimed the points with a stunning Patrick Mcdonagh hat-trick alongside one each for James Russell and Ryan Griffiths.

Second in the table Narberth claimed a comfortable 4-0 victory against third from bottom West Dragons at Jesse Road. Jordan Williams (2), Carl Jones and Tony Evans all found the back of the net for the jubilant Bluebirds.

Neyland were delighted to win 3-1 against Lamphey at the Athletic Ground, scoring for The Nomads were Henry Durrant, Wayne Parry, and Mikey Chandler. The Stags’ solitary goal scorer was Nico Morrison.

Pennar Robins gained a convincing 4-0 victory against rock bottom Milford United at Bush Camp. Leading the rout was striker Carl Rees with a superb hat-trick and Mike Ryder also added his name to Pennar’s scoresheet.

Carew disappointingly lost 0-4 at home against Hakin United. The Vikings’ goals were shared by Nicky Woodrow, Justin Harding, Shane Walsh, and Jonty Bennett. Both teams play each other again on Wednesday, 28th February, in the semi-final of the Senior Cup at the Conygar Bridge Meadow, and the kick-off is at 7pm.
