There were some high scoring and highly entertaining clashes in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League matches on Saturday.

In the game of the afternoon, Goodwick United beat arch rivals Hakin United 3-1 at Phoenix Park. The Vikings took the lead through an own goal, but the homesters secured the vital points with goals shared by Kieran O’Brien, Steven Dockerty and Tony Evans.

Neyland were hammered 0-8 by unbeaten league leaders Carew, Scott Ferney scored four alongside one apiece for Jordan Richards, own goal and brothers Jack and Sam Christopher.

Goals from Jordan Thomas, Joe Leahy and Will Haworth secured Merlins Bridge a 3-0 victory against Milford United at the Racecourse.

The biggest win was at Monkton Lane where Monkton Swifts thrashed Narberth 10-0. On the score sheet was Dylan Davies (4), James Russell (2), Patrick McDonagh, Chris Richards, Ben Nicholas and Ryan Griffiths.

Clarbeston Road drew 4-4 with Lamphey at Knockfield. Jason Griffiths struck a superb hat-trick for the homesters and Owen Edwards also pounced. The Stags secured their first point of the season as Sonny Phillips (2), Billy Davis and Alex Lewis all found the back of the net.

Saundersfoot Sports won 3-0 at home against Herbrandston; Geoff Marsh scored a brace alongside a solitary Curtis Hurlow long range strike.

St Clears beat Pennar Robins 3-2 at home, the Saints inflicting a first defeat of the season over the Robins. Steve Thomas, Tristan Hancock and Josh Jones scored for the triumphant Saints, and an own goal and a late Josh Dearsley strike for the visitors.
