Despite heavy rain the bulk of matches went ahead in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division on Saturday.

Ben Aldred in control for Hakin United at NarberthChampions Goodwick United thrashed struggling Johnston 15-1 at Phoenix Park, Rob Morgans 4, Adam Raymond 3, Johnny Horgan 3, Anthony Couzens 2, Scott Delaney, Matty Delaney, Ben John scored for the homesters, and just before the final whistle Ryan Doyle scored the Tiger’s only goal from the penalty spot.

Angle lost 0-1 at home against Lamphey with Nico Morrison scoring for The Stags to secure the points.

Narberth lost 2-7 at home against Hakin United, Sean O’Neill and Dafydd Wright netted for The Bluebirds, but the Vikings ran out comfortable winners thanks to goals scored by Nicky Woodrow 3, Jimmy Walker 2, James Trueman and Craig Nicholson.

Neyland were heavily beaten 1-6 at home against Carew. Mike Chandler netted the Nomads’ only goal, but the Rooks secured the points with goals by Ian Derbyshire 2, Scott Ferney, Jordan Richards, Alex Bailey and Henry Macbeth.

West Dragons hammered Milford United 8-2 at home against Milford United. There was a brace apiece for Dorian Davies, Matthew Price, Nick Squire and one each for Paul Jones and Simon Gilderdale. The Robins replied with two goals scored by Josh Smart.

Monkton Swifts v Tenby was abandoned after only 15 minutes due to heavy rain and standing water on Monkton Lane.

Merlins Bridge progressed to the Senior Cup quarter final after winning 5-1 at Pennar Robins; Joe Leahy struck a superb hat-trick for the Wizards alongside goals by team-mates Steve McNabney and Adam Hawkins. The only highlight for the home outfit was a late consolation goal scored by Connor Rees.
