Teenager Ben Fawcett claimed a hat-trick in Hakin’s easy win

 


Seven games were played in Saturday’s Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division, with a total of 39 goals scored.

Teenager Ben Fawcett claimed a hat-trick in Hakins easy winStarting at league leaders, Goodwick United won 3-1 at home against Carew. Jordan Griffiths netted twice alongside Chris O’Sullivan to secure the points, Rob Whitfield scored the visitors’ only goal.

Second placed Narberth gained a narrow 2-1 home win against Lamphey. Tony Evans and Chris Brown found the back of the net for The Bluebirds, and The Stags’ Anthony Webb netted for the visitors.

Third in the table, Merlins Bridge came from behind to win 3-1 against arch derby rivals West Dragons.
Luke Hayward grabbed a brace alongside a goal for Joey George, and Ashley Prior netted for the visitors.

Fourth placed Monkton Swifts won 6-3 at home to derby rivals Angle. James Russell netted four with team mates Martyn Carroll and Ben Nicholas scoring, the visitors’ goal scorers were Jake Seaton (2) and Josh Clark.

Herbrandston were convincingly beaten 0-6 at home against fifth placed Clarbeston Road. Matthew Davies scored a superb hat-trick and Tom Reubens a brace with Mike Turpin also adding his name to the score sheet.

In sixth position, Hakin United were too strong for close neighbours Milford United, winning 6-0 at The Obs. Talented teenager Ben Fawcett claimed a hat-trick, alongside goals for team mates Justin Harding 2 and Jack Wilson.

Pennar Robins won 4-3 at home against Neyland. The homesters’ scorers were a brace for Sam Southcott, and one each for Phil John and Luke Phillips. The Nomads’ scorers were Wayne Parry (2) and Mike Chandler.
