Cymru Premier League is given green light to start season

At last there is some good news on the horizon for football fans as the Cymru Premier League has been given the green light to start the season next month.

Haverfordwest County released a statement on social media:
 
“Today (21st August) the FAW announced that the Cymru Premier League will return on Friday, 11th September after the Welsh Government granted the top tier elite athletic status.

“Initially, matches will take place behind closed doors, as the Welsh Government continues its cautious approach towards the COVID-19 pandemic. 

“The FAW has welcomed today’s (21 August) announcement by the Welsh Government that three upcoming sporting events will be trialled with a maximum of 100 spectators. A further announcement regarding spectators attending sporting events will be made after the next Welsh Government 3-week review period has been completed. 

“More information regarding today’s announcement will be released over the coming days.”
