County Schools U11s shine against counterparts from Aber

County A team
Pembrokeshire County Schools’ Football squad recently played matches against Aberystwyth Schools in the next round of the Tom Yeoman Festival at Tenby AFC and came away with a magnificent 100% record from their four matches.

Pembrokeshire A 1 - Aberystwyth A 0
Pembs started off brightly and showed some good passing football between Dylan Kidd, Morgan Williams and Seth Woodhouse. The energetic Iori Badham ran tirelessly and covered a lot of ground and some quick inter- passing saw Pembs have several goal-scoring opportunities. Evan Rutherford, Jack Nicholas and Harri John defended well and Kyle Rossiter looked safe in goal and his quick distribution was a good feature of the game. Seth Woodhouse scored for Pembrokeshire early on with a stunning shot.  Aberystwyth fought back bravely throughout the whole match and made the home side work hard. Ethan Hall cleared an important ball off the line and Lucas Thomas ran well on the left flank as Pembs managed to hold on to their narrow lead.

Pembrokeshire A 7 - Aberystwyth B 0
Pembs played much better football in this match and had several scoring chances early on but  soon got into their rhythm and scored some sensational goals. Dylan Kidd scored first and Pembs’ second came soon afterwards by Iori Badham.  Harri John added another before Dylan Kidd scored an impressive hat-trick. Pembs rounded off the game with Morgan Williams putting the ball into the back of the net to round off what was a great squad performance.

Pembrokeshire B

Pembrokeshire B 5 - Aberystwyth B 1
Pembs played some cracking football with some great inter-passing from Max James, Dan John and Ieuan Irvine. Toby Price and Rudy Poole ran well in the wide positions and Jack Nicholas and Jey Urdin were almost unbeatable in defence.  Their pinpoint passing set up many attacks. Alfie Barnett looked very safe in the Pembs goal and his experience and confidence filtered down to the whole team.  Robbie Sly and Dylan Duffy played with passion. Rudy Poole opened the scoring from Pembs with Max James adding the second. Dan John got his name on the score-sheet before Max James scored again. Aberystwyth managed to pull back a consolation goal before Dan John slotted in the fifth Pembs goal.

Pembrokeshire B 4 - Aberystwyth A 0
This was a very good game and either side could have taken the lead early on but Pembs settled down and Max James scored the all-important first goal. Dan John added to his goal tally by scoring with a fine low shot and the Max James scored two more before the final whistle. The whole squad contributed to a convincing performance with some breath-taking football played by the Pembs boys.
