There were four games played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division and two were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

Starting with the big game of the day where league leaders Monkton Swifts narrowly defeated Carew 2-1 at Monkton Lane. Dylan Davies and Ryan Griffiths netted for the Swifts who also had Chris Richards sent off in the second half. The Rooks replied with a late consolation goal from Shaun Whitfield.

Joint league leaders Goodwick United won 4-1 against Pennar Robins at Phoenix Park. Kieran O’Brien, Steffan Williams, Jonny Horgan and Rhys Dalling all struck in the first half and an own goal in the second period completed the scoring.

Hakin United thrashed poor Saundersfoot 10-0 at the Obs. Bagging the goals for the on-fire Vikings were Gareth Fawcett (3), Justin Harding (2), Ewan Findlay (2), Ben Aldred (2) and Cameron Thomas.

Narberth narrowly beat St Clears 2-1 on a heavy Jesse Road surface. Sean Seymour Davies struck to give The Saints the lead which was short lived as Joe Gouldingay squared matters in the first half. Midway through the second period Lloyd Hughes scored a terrific winner for The Bluebirds.

Fishguard Sports v Clarbeston Road and Merlins Bridge v Saundersfoot Sports were both postponed and will be re-arranged later in the season.

No fixtures next week as the league breaks for Christmas, but on Saturday, December 28th football returns.
