Matthew Kiff - bowled well for LlangwmLlangwm maintained their concerted push for a speedy return to the top flight of Pembrokeshire Cricket with a comfortable win on The Racecourse against Haverfordwest Seconds.

Morgan eventually departed for 35 as his team battled their way to 114 all out with minor contributions from Ashley James and Jack Scriven (11 apiece) and a late 21 not out by Jack Wilson as Ollie Davies (1 for 43) and Luke Brock (1 for 17) were the other Llangwm wicket-takers.

Simon Williams (2 for 24) and Archie Thomas (1 for 39) claimed wickets for the homesters before Nigel Morgan’s solitary late over gave him figures of 1 for 1 but James Venables (33) and Noah Davies (19) laid the foundations for Llangwm before Joseph Kiff finished things off in swashbuckling style as he blasted five fours and three sixes in his undefeated 47.

Burton hold on for a draw but lose ground on leaders

Saundersfoot (254 for 6) drew with Burton (216 for 7)

Umpire: Neil Croucher
Scorers: Adge John & Jean Jones

Tom Mansbridge - superb unbeaten century for SaundersfootThere were runs aplenty on the Saundersfoot Cricket Club’s ground as they amassed a huge 254 for 6 against Burton, who also batted well to respond with 216 for 7.

The undoubted star of the match was the home club’s talented teenager Tom Mansbridge, who stroked a superb undefeated 115 and then claimed two wickets after tea.

Mansbridge had 11 fours and four sixes as he had support from Nick Cope (49) and skipper Sam Franklyn (48) against the Burton bowling of Johnny Scale (2 for 35), Luke Hayman (2 for 48) and Morgan Scale (1 for 41).

When Burton batted the platform for their response was laid by brothers Jack and James Davies, with respective scores of 49 and 59, whilst Luke Hayman chipped in with 45 alongside Morgan Scale (19) as James Caine’s slow stuff earned him an excellent 4 for 17 haul and Tom Mansbridge supported with 2 for 32.

Umpires: Robert Ridge & Tony Pasternak
Scorers: Alys John & Laurence Harries

John Curran - terrific unbeaten  ton for LlechrydJohn Curran’s brilliant batting continued as he took Llechryd to a ten-wicket success against Whitland 2nds, striking a boundary-laden 109 not out in chasing down a home score of 153 for 6.

He was joined by Dewi Davies, who provided the perfect foil with his 43 not out as all the Whitland bowlers toiled in vain.

Gethin Scourfield (40), James Thomas (35), Paul Oeppen (17) and Jack Bowen (29 not out) batted well for Whitland as Graham Keen returned figures of 4 for 32, whilst pensioner Peter Betterley applied the break on run-scoring with remarkable figures of 2 for 5 in 12 overs, ten of them maidens.

But in the final analysis it was Curran’s century, following his 206 not out in his only previous match, which proved decisive as his runs continue to accumulate at a terrific rate!
