Division One:
‘Titch’ takes Whitland to penultimate ball success
Burton (220 for 4) lost to Whitland (224 for 9) by 1 wicket
Umpires: Allan Hansen & Bob Elliott
Scorers: Dennis Venables & Ann-Marie Jenkins
There were runs galore at Oatfield Park as home club Burton amassed a sizeable score of 220 for 4 and Whitland did amazingly well to chase it down from the penultimate ball of the last over as Matthew ‘Titch’ Davies hit a boundary with only he and No 11 Dan Blain left in hand.
Burton made an excellent start through Toby Hayman and skipper Richard Jones, putting on a three-figure stand before the former batsman was first to go for 50. Morgan Scale (22) and Jonathan Venables (15) chipped in with cameos but it was Jones who provided much of the momentum before he was dismissed just five runs short of what would have been a deserved century.
Matthew Davies (2 for 65), Steff James (1 for 44) and Iestyn Scourfield (1 for 43) were the only Whitland wicket-takers and at team Burton must have been pleased with their tally of 220 for 4.
Steff James topped the Whitland batting with 40 as Morgan Scale (3 for 42), Jonathan Scale (2 for 31), Luke Hayman (2 for 34) and Richard Jones (1 for 46) were the successful home bowlers.
In the Whitland batting line-up there were useful smaller contributions from Jonathan Strawbridge (38), Geraint James (28), Johnny Thomas (24), Nathan Evans (22) and Titch Davies (31 not out, including that vital last four) as Blain remained on 4 not out at the other end.

Cresselly cruise to nine-wicket win
Cresselly (144 for 1) beat St Ishmaels (141 for 8) by 9 wickets
Umpires: Steve Blowes & Dave Bonner
Scorers: Teagan Cartwright & Pat Williams
Cresselly cruised to a nine-wicket win over St Ishmaels after the visitors plan to bat first and set a challenging total back-fired as Tish could only muster 141 for 8 in their allotted 45 overs.
It wasn’t likely to test Cresselly’s mighty batting strength on a bone-hard surface as only Peter Bradshaw (42), Harry Nicholas (33), Andrew Palmer (19) and Marc Devonald (16 not out) ever looked comfortable against Matthew Lewis (4 for 28) Dan Sutton (2 for 29), Simon Cole (1 for 21) and Sion Jenkins (1 for 14).
Then Sutton (30) and Adam Chandler gave Cresselly a great start before Sutton was caught by Bradshaw off Jordan Milich - and Simon Cole (36 not out) and Chandler (62 not out) eased Cresselly home in only 19.3 overs.

Town take it in their stride
Haverfordwest (140 for 3) beat Kilgetty (139 all out) by 7 wickets
Umpires: Denis Chiffi & Simon Richards
Scorers: Jayne Cole and Hazel Poole
Haverfordwest were in control for most of their home match against Kilgetty, who won the toss, elected to bat first and managed a total of 139 all out; never likely to be enough as Simon Holliday led the home batting after talented teenager Johnny White had again spear-headed their attack.
White had fine figures of 4 for 16 alongside Lee Summons (3 for 62), Holliday (1 for 14), Kieran O’Connor (1 for 8) and Sanjaya Gurang (1 for 2) as Kurtis Marsh (41), Kyle Marsh (26), Geoff Marsh (17), Ian Poole and Ross Hardy (both 14) had topped the Kilgetty batting.
After tea, Nitin Mathias (38) and Holliday (62) led The Town counter-attack, although the latter was almost caught by Claire Hardy at deep backward square before he was eventually bowled for his lowest score so far.
Danny Potter (30 not out) and Lee Summons (22 not out) saw The Town home as Anthony Lewis (2 for 24) and Ross Hardy (1 for 44) were the successful Kilgetty bowlers.

Llangwm batting maturity pays dividends
Llangwm (278 for 2) beat Lawrenny (217 all out) by 61 runs
Umpires: Trefor Evans & Dave Brandon
Scorers: Janice Brick & Malcolm Thomas
Llangwm have shown far more batting maturity this season and this was every much in evidence during their game against Lawrenny at Pill Parks as they amassed a huge final tally of 278 for 2 from their allotted 45 overs.
Leading the way with a splendid innings of 116 was young opener Phil Llewellyn, who stroked 15 fours and a six in his innings before he was caught by Brad McDermott-Jenkins off the bowling of Steve Lewis.
Noah Davies chipped in with 46 and then the Kiff brothers rounded things off as Matthew blitzed a typical 83 not out and Joseph supported with an undefeated 11.
as only Harry Thomas (15) and Ian Jenkins (21) made contributions before Simon Cole (69) and Rob Williams (60) showed what useful all-rounders they are.
But Ollie Davies (3 for 37), Noah Davies (2 for 56), Matthew Kiff (3 for 53), Phil Llewellyn (1 for 20) and Luke Brock (1 for 56) claimed the wickets that saw Llangwm home in the 44th over.

Two centurions in massive Neyland win
Neyland (258 for 3 Declared in 40 overs) beat Johnston (73 all out) by 185 runs
Umpires: Richard Merriman & Richard Scriven
Scorers: John Laugharne & Gracie Morris
Neyland maintained their 100% record in the opening five matches of the season as undefeated centuries from Nick Koomen and Henry Durrant helped them declare on a massive 258 for 3 after 40 overs before shooting Johnston out for only 73 runs.
Yet Neyland, who elected to bat first, were uneasy on 46 for 3 as Kevin Roberts (1 for 30) and Liam James (2 for 61) were the wicket-takers before Koomen had ten fours and six in his 107 not out and Durrant reached exactly 100 not out with four fours and five sixes.
Gregg Miller (15) and Patrick Bellerby (25) made early contributions, with the latter unlucky as a straight drive was deflected onto the stumps at the bowler’s end with him marginally out of his crease!
Neil Boxall (15), Keegan Codd (11) and Steve James (13) top scored for Johnston but no-one could really settle against Andrew Miller’s slow stuff and final figures of 5 for 19, ably assisted by Durrant (2 for 12), Nathan Banner (1 for 15) and Gary Lloyd (1 for 21) – and a winning margin of 185 runs tells its own story.

Division Two:
Jake jolts Pembroke with superb century
Hook (268 for 4) beat Pembroke (135 all out) by 133 runs
Umpires: John Williams & Sutha Siva
Scorer: Joy James (Hook)
A superb undefeated century from Jake Wicks helped Hook gain maximum points against Pembroke as his team supported with an excellent all-round team display.
Wicks ended up with a boundary-laden 138 not out and had good support from Jamie Phelps (54), Jacob Lay (36) and George James (12) as they recovered well from a slow start.
Pembroke skipper Jack Harries batted well for his 30 but found little support that would take Pembroke anywhere near such a challenging total as Aled Phelps (4 for 33) and Bradley Flood (3 for 11) were the main strike bowlers for Hook

Town last pair holds on for the draw
Llechryd (194 for 6) drew with Haverfordwest 2nds (145 for 9)
Scorer: Kelly Williams (Haverfordwest)
Llechryd were on top for much of their home match with Haverfordwest Seconds but in the final analysis couldn’t shift the stubborn last-wicket pairing for The Town and so had to settle for the draw, but with the bulk of the bonus points as consolation.
James Betterley (62), Steve Smith (49) and Joe Mansfield (31 not out) batted well for Llechryd against Chris Phillips (2 for 31), Nigel Morgan (2 for 30), Evan Watts (1 for 15) and Lewis Rhead (1 for 22).
Skipper Morgan also led the batting with 29 alongside Sean Williams as Peter Betterley (2 for 18), Nick North (4 for 23) and Luke Palmer-Davies (1 for 28) bowled well for the homesters. Josh Hicks chipped in with 21 and Lewis Rhead was a vital 12 not out at the end to prevent The Town losing another match.

Narberth win with plenty in hand
Saundersfoot (111 all out) lost to Narberth (113 for 4) by 6 wickets
Umpires: Neil Croucher & Huw Davies
Scorers: Adge John & Rhian/Richard Howell
Narberth showed just why they can lay claim already to being promotion contenders as they gained a six-wicket success against another useful side in Saundersfoot.
But The Seasiders could only muster 111 all out after batting first and Narberth, ably led by top batsman Richard Adams, eased home for the loss of only four wickers with overs aplenty to spare.
Only James Caine (43), Sam Franklin (13) , John Mansbridge 11) and Steve Cook (10) could muster double figures in the Saundersfoot camp as Ben Hughes (3 for 32), Loui Davies (3 for 28) and Ben Quartermaine caused the major damage to their batting prospects.
Adams then stroked a boundary-laden 59 not out in cahoots with Loui Davies (27) and Kyle Quartermaine (1) so that although Sam Franklin (2 for 63) and Tom Mansbridge (2 for 15) shared the four wickets they were never able to maintain long enough periods of pressure to swing the match their way.

Hard-fought draw at Stackpole
Stackpole (170 for 7) drew with Cresselly 2nds (178 for 6)
There were runs aplenty and a dramatic finish at Stackpole as the home side came very close to snatching the verdict before they had to settle for the draw against an experienced Cresselly Seconds in which Richard Harris and Lyn Richards caught the eye.
Harries (62) and Richards (45) helped their side to 178 for 6 as Richard MacKay (3 for 50) and George Smith (3 for 28) were the principal home bowlers.
Then Harris (2 for 24) and Richards (2 for 31) led their bowling against Mackay (34) and Josh Davies (61 not out) before Stackpole ran out of overs and so Cresselly gained the lion’s share of the draw points.

Carew crush Whitland Seconds
Whitland 2nds (55 all out) lost to Carew (56 for 1) by nine wickets
Umpires: Tony Waldeis & Mervyn John
Scorer: Julie Davies (Carew)
There was an early finish to the match between Whitland Seconds and Carew as the visiting team shot out the hosts for only 55 runs in 17.1 overs and then needed only 8.3 overs to finish the game off whilst losing only one wicket.
Only Dai Lee (16) could manage double figures for Whitland as Carew’s varied bowling attack of Max Brindley (3 for 18), Rhys Davies (2 for 10), Nick Davies (3 for 6) and Ceri Brace (2 for 4) created real problems.
Then Tim Hicks and Chris Cole got Carew off to a flier before Hicks was bowled by Gethin Scourfield (1 for 11) for 21, whilst Cole ended up on 27 not out as Tom Davies joined him to help hit the final few runs.
