Llangwm maintain their winning ways
Llangwm (129 for 8) beat Whitland 2nds (126 all out) by 2 wickets
Umpires: Neil Croucher & Richard Scriven
Scorers: Janice Brick & Jenny Davies-Scourfield
Llangwm maintained their winning ways at the head of the section table but not before they were pushed all the way by a makeshift Whitland Seconds’ team which could only muster ten players but never gave up trying.
The visitors looked as if they were heading for a big score at Pill Parks as Nathan Evans and Gethin Scourfield put on 73 for the first wicket before Evans departed for a hard-hitting 48 (five fours and four sixes) and Scourfield contributed 24 (four boundaries).
But from then on only Wayne Jones (13) and Geraint Phillips (12) ever stayed long as home captain Ollie Davies led the way with 5 for 51, ably assisted by Phil Llewellyn (4 for 25).
Llangwm’s early hopes received something of a set-back against veteran Whitland bowlers Stuart Harries (4 for 27) and Mark Lee (3 for 23) but they managed cameos from Noah Davies (26), James Venables (16) and Jonathan Twigg (16) before Matthew Kiff (31) and James Lewis (14) were the not out batsmen as Llangwm reached their target in only 32 overs, despite the efforts of Harries, Lee and Scourfield (1 for 26).
The Town take charge on The Racecourse
Haverfordwest 2nds (143 all out) beat Narberth (119 all out) by 24 runs
Umpires: Huw Davies & Robert Ridge
Scorers: Kelly Williams & Emma Richards
Narberth’s hopes of promotion suffered a setback on The Racecourse as they were unable to fend off the challenge of a Haverfordwest Seconds’ outfit just as eager to pouch the points to stave off any niggling concerns about relegation.
Talented young cricketers Jake Merry and Jack Scriven both contributed 12 apiece to the Haverfordwest tally but it was the old timers in Nigel Morgan (28, including four boundaries) and Nigel Delany (49, with two fours and three sixes before he was run out) that took them to 143 all out in 42.2 overs.
For Narberth, it was Kyle Quartermaine (3 for 17), Loui Davies 3 for 35) and Ben Hughes (2 for 36) who were their wicket-takers.
But after tea only Ritchie Adams, for so long the mainstay of Narberth’s batting line up, ever looked settled as he had nine fours in his 72 but only Loui Davies (13) managed double figures against Simon Williams (1 for 16), Clive Tucker (3 for 18), Ashley James (1 for 30) and especially Lewis Rhead, who showed his ability with the ball in a terrific 5 for 7 spell that successfully finished things off for The Town.

Burton put pressure on front runners
Carew 2nds (171 all out) lost to Burton (176 for 1) by 9 wickets
Umpires: Mervyn John & Bob Elliott
Scorer: Dennis Venables (Burton)
Burton secured a good win at Carew which keeps the pressure on Narberth above them in the race for promotion, reaching a challenging target with relative ease thanks to the batting exploits of Martin James and Robbie Neill.
Put in to bat first, Carew did well to reach 171 all out thanks to ace run-gatherer Robbie Hicks (50), Chris Cole (30), Scott Richards (18), James Hinchliffe (18) and Jacob Knox (23), with Luke Hayman the main bowler for Burton as he finished with fine figures of 5 for 43, alongside Johnnie Scale (1 for 26), Morgan Scale (1 for 55) and Aled Thomas (1 for 15).
Jack Davies departed early for Burton as Jacob Knox struck but from then on it was all Burton as James hit eight fours and four sixes in his 100 not out, ably supported by Neill, who had three fours and three sixes in his undefeated 77.

Teenager Tom takes a heavy toll at Llandigige Fawr
Llanrhian (134 all out) lost to Saundersfoot (254 for 3) by 120 runs
Umpires: Les Hastings & Arthur Brady
Scorers: Adge John
Talented teenager Tom Mansbridge was the undoubted star of Saundersfoot’s huge win at Llandigige Fawr as he led them to a massive score of 254 for 3 and then grabbed four wickets as Llanrhian were dismissed for 134 in 33.3 overs.
Saundersfoot lost two wickets in reaching 53 before Tom Mansbridge found a willing ally in skipper Sam Franklin, whose 77 runs included 11 boundaries as they added 160 runs together before he was out, whilst Tom Mansbridge ended up with 142 not out, including 14 fours and five sixes.
“He made us chase leather all afternoon,” complimented Llanrhian skipper Richard Read, whose successful bowlers were Tom Clark (1 for 63), Jack Jones (1 for 45) and Anthony Couzens (1 for 56).
Jack Jones (36), Clark (20 not out) and Rhodri Owen (27) made useful scores for the home side but then John Mansbridge claimed 2 for 19 alongside brother Tom (4 for 35), James Caine (1 for 30) and Franklin (1 for 9) to keep Saundersfoot safely ensconced in the top half of the table, whilst Llanrhian still linger at the bottom!

Umpire: John Williams
There was a thrilling end to the match at Stackpole as skipper Richard Mackay inspired his side to victory over Llechryd by just five runs.
He scored 72 not out, assisted by James Adie (24) and Jonathan Hughes (25), as his team reached 148 for 9, with the evergreen Peter Betterly (4 for 25) and Graham Keen (2 for 38) as Llechryd’s main bowlers.
In a tense finale, Alan Webster (4 for 26) and Marcus Adie (3 for 43) were instrumental in the visitors being dismissed for 143 as Steve Smith (44) and Michael Carter (31) top scored.
