Cresselly win sets up local derby finale for silverware
Cresselly (168 for 2) beat Kilgetty (167 all out)
Umpires: Les Hastings & Allan Hansen
Scorers: Teagan Cartwright & Hazel Poole
There were implications for Cresselly and Kilgetty at both ends of the table as the home side’s victory sets up a nerve-jangling last match against neighbours Carew which will decide the title, whilst this defeat hauls their opponents back into the relegation conundrum.
Kilgetty shrugged off their recent batting blues to reach a tally of 167 all out thanks to the efforts of Kyle Marsh (26), Toby Poole (14), Ross Hardy 36, Ian Poole (25), Anthony Bevan (23) and Geoff Marsh (10).
On the Cresselly bowling front there were wickets for Dan James (2 for 40), Sam Harts (2 for 39), Tom Arthur (4 for 25) and Ryan Lewis (2 for 15).
But only Ross Hardy (1 for 35) and Jack Parkinson (1 for 31) were able to pick up wickets for Kilgetty as Phil Williams (23) and Adam Chandler got Cresselly off to a good start.
They did lost Iwan Izzard cheaply but Chandler scored 13 boundaries in his 81 not out, made from 79 balls, and shared an unbroken stand of 96 with Dan Cherry, whose 58 not out contained no fewer than 11 fours and came from only 49 deliveries.

Carew canter to success against poor Whitland
Whitland (43 all out) lost to Carew (44 for 0) by 10 wickets
Umpires: Denis Chiffi & Dai Morris
Scorers: Jenny Davies-Scourfield & Julie Davies
Whitland suffered one of their heaviest defeats in their division one memory as they were shot out for a paltry 43 by championship leaders Carew, who then took only 8.2 overs to reach their target without losing a single wicket.
The match proved to be a personal triumph for Carew cousins Tom and Rhys Davies, who shared all ten wickets before a typical Tom Scourfield batting blitz gave The Rooks a 13th win from 15 completed matches.
Jonathan Thomas was the only home batsman in double figures, scoring 15 as Tom Davies grabbed 6 for 20 and Rhys Davies picked up 4 for 17 at the other end in a sustained attack supported by excellent fielding.
Then Tom Scourfield struck 4 fours and a six in his 31 not out and Rhys Davies supported with 8 not out as Carew look to end the season on a very high note against near neighbours Cresselly next Saturday.

Jack Scriven and Ben Field appeal for a catch as Haverfordwest 2nds beat Llechryd
Johnston pick up vital victory over depleted Town
Johnson (82 for 1) beat Haverfordwest (81 all out) by 9 wickets
Umpires: Trefor Evans & Richard Merriman
Scorers: Steve Mills & Jayne Cole
Johnston pouched vital points in their late quest to avoid relegation as they beat a depleted Haverfordwest team by nine wickets as they bowled, fielded and batted better than their inexperienced opponents.
Put in to bat first, The Town were soon in trouble at 34 for 6 and only a gritty 21 from Ashley James, plus 9 not out by Simon Holliday, batting at No 11 because he was late arriving because of work commitments, saw them eventually manage 81 all out.
Dan Sutton (2 for 6), Nathan James (3 for 17), Richard James (2 for 19), Lee Summons (2 for 6) and Liam James (1 for 30) successfully share the wickets for Johnston.
Sutton then led the Tish batting as normal with 39 runs before he was caught by Lewis Rhead off Johnny White – but the father and son duo of John and Lee Summons (19 not out and 14 not out) batted well so that Johnston were able to celebrate only their third win of the campaign.

A rare boundary for Haverfordwest
Lawrenny lose their way big time
Lawrenny (60 all out) lost to St Ishmaels (64 for 0) by 10 wickets
Umpires: Tony Scourfield & Dave Brandon
Scorers: Chris Williams & Wendy Bradshaw
After recent good results Lawrenny had a terrible time at home to a dominant St Ishmaels team which shot out the opposition for only 60 runs in 11.3 overs and then took just an over more to reach their target – but without losing a single wicket!
Only Jack Slade (14) and Brad McDermott-Jenkins (13) could manage double figures for Lawrenny as Andrew Palmer claimed 3 for 31 and long-serving all-rounder Andrew Williams grabbed terrific figures of 7 for 23 in 5.4 overs.
Palmer continued his good work with 26 not out alongside skipper Peter Bradshaw’s undefeated 32 as they shared eight boundaries and the game was done and dusted by 3.17pm!

Patrick Hannon - bowling well for Neyland
Neyland continue Pembroke’s dismal run
Neyland (53 for 2) beat Pembroke (51 all out) by 8 wickets
Umpires: John Williams & Mervyn John
Scorer: John Laugharne
Pembroke were already relegated before this match but their hopes of a first win to put some brightness into a difficult campaign back in the top echelon were ruined within five overs as their score stood at 3 for 3.
In the end Paul White’s boys struggled to 51 all out (28.3 overs) as Steve Mitchell grafted his way to 18 and found late support from young Huw Fraser (14).
But the bowling of Patrick Hannon (2 for 16), Andrew Miller (2 for 14), Geraint Rees (2 for 12), Tom Pritchard (2 for 2 in seven overs) regularly caused them problems – and there was even time for skipper Sean Hannon to remove his keeper’s gloves and claim 1 for 1.
Gary Lloyd took a rare opportunity to open for Neyland and scored 16 not out alongside Henry Durrant (21 not out) as Neyland strolled home, with Barry Evans (1 for 12) as the only Pembroke wicket-taker.
