Carew club reveal their naughty sides with saucy calender in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

If the recent heatwave wasn’t excuse enough to strip off, players from Carew Football and Cricket Clubs have found further justification to get their kit off

To help raise funds and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support, they have been persuaded to reveal almost all in a special 2019 calendar.

Taking advantage of having a top photographer Ross Grieve as Chairman of Carew Social Club, players and officials have become “Calendar Boys”

Players like they’ve never been seen before

Each month has a different photograph, which has kindly been sponsored by local businesses, revealing the players as they’ve never been seen in public before – and the Club hopes that the sales of the calendar will enable it to make a substantial donation to the Macmillan charity.

A spokesperson for the Club said: “If people have as much enjoyment looking at it as we did making it and we raise funds and awareness for a very worthwhile cause it’s a win-win for us. I’m just pleased we got it finished before the weather turned!

Massive thanks

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who was brave enough to take part; to Ross for making us all look respectable, Julie our scorer as the only lady participant and Rachael Knox for organising it all.

Calendars, which cost £10 each are available from the Clubhouse, or for more information or to place an order please contact Rachael Knox on 07970 544427 or Kerry Waters on 07813 687861.
