Haverfordwest gymnasts are crowned Welsh Champions at Artistic Event
Haverfordwest Gymnastics Club recently competed in both the West Area and Welsh Novice Artistic Championships, which comprises of all gymnasts competing on vault, bars, beam and floor, and performed brilliantly in the process.
The West Area competition saw fantastic performances from Josie Dodd, Sara Storrow, Emee Miline, Hawys Davies, Ella Phillips, Sara Cox, Mared Cooke, Ceri Evans, Bethan Rees, Joanna Weedon and Sophie Storrow, who were all awarded with either medals or trophies for their individual or team efforts
Yet more success
The club then took part in the Welsh Novice Championships. This competition was held over two days, with hundreds of gymnasts from all across Wales entering. At the end of the first day of competition Sara Cox, Ceri Evans, Jadie Davis, Hannah Thomas and Mared Cooke were crowned 12-13 Welsh Team Champions along with Bethan Rees and Joanna Weedon, who were awarded individual medals on vault- an amazing result.
On the second day more success followed. Hawys Davies, Sara Storrow and Josie Dodd all finished with top ten positions and Lauren Watts was awarded a silver medal.
The Club is so proud of all the gymnasts that took part in both of the competitions and want to say a massive well done for such fantastic results.
