Beat the Expert Week Two:
Once again it finishes all square between Micky and The Expert
There were a few strange results this Saturday as Micky Phillips and The Expert once again tied at 4-4. With two weeks of predictions still to go The Expert is still feeling confident he can knock confident Micky off his perch. "I'm just giving him a false sense of security," said The Expert. "He thinks that it's going to be easy as he has drawn twice, but it's over the next couple of weeks that the results will count. The cream always rises to the top - and then our Micky will be left with a sour taste in his mouth come the final whistle!"

Micky’s made The Expert really mad!
Micky Phillips made a really good start to his four-week stint in the hot seat of trying to beat our original ‘Mr Grumpy’ and it was nice to see our man praising his challenger because Micky is held in such high regard.
But all that has changed in the few short days since because a dark thought has been planted in The Expert’s head that perhaps ‘Mighty Micky’ is using his good nature to lull our man into being nice for a change!
“If he thinks that will work then he’s in for a shock because from now on I’m going in all guns blazing. I’ve also remembered that when I played against him for Johnston he stepped on my toes and put in a couple of late tackles. So he had better not think I’m going soft!”
So there we are, Mr P – be warned – The Expert is gunning for you!”
Division One Games for Saturday, 24th September, 2011
(Results will appear Saturday evening)
Hakin United 3 - Goodwick United 2
Haverfordwest County 1 - Clarbeston Road 4
Hundleton 1 - Pennar Robins 4
Milford United 1 - Merlins Bridge 3
Monkton Swifts 6 - Johnston 4
Solva 1 - Narberth 5
Tenby 2 - Neyland 3
Mighty Micky’s Forecasts:
Hakin United 3 - Goodwick United 1
Hakin remain the only unbeaten side in the league this season and have had some titanic battles against Goodwick over the years. Last year saw the Vikings gain an impressive 6-1 win, and I’ll go for another home win though a lot closer this time.Haverfordwest County 4 - Clarbeston Road 2
The Town have won the last 4 encounters between these two sides scoring 21 goals in the process. I’ll predict another high scoring encounter with the Town coming out on top.Hundleton 1 - Pennar Robins 3
The Robins face another local derby having beaten Monkton Swifts last week. They also completed the double over their south county rivals last season and with Hundleton losing their last 3, I’ll have to go for an away win.Milford United 0 - Merlins Bridge 4
This top v bottom of the table clash should result in a comfortable win for the Bridge, with the Robins conceding on average 4 goals a game. The Bridge haven‘t been prolific in front of goal this year though I expect them to return from Marble Hall with the points.Monkton Swifts 2 - Johnston 3
The visitors have won their last three games whilst the Swifts have lost their last two so I’ll stick by my old team and go for a narrow 3-2 away win.Solva 1 - Narberth 3
Solva completed the double over Narberth last year with a 3-2 home win, and an amazing 8-6 win away from home (I bet the expert didn’t predict that!). However Narberth are proving a lot harder to beat this year so I’ll go for an away win.
Tenby 3 - Neyland 1
Tenby are picking up after a poor start and recorded the double over their visitors last year. Neyland are once again proving to be very difficult to beat though I have a feeling they’ll be returning from the seaside pointless.
The Expert’s Scorecasts:
Hakin United 3 - Goodwick United 0
Haverfordwest County 4 - Clarbeston Road 0
Hundleton 1 - Pennar Robins 2
Milford United 0 - Merlins Bridge 5
Monkton Swifts 1 - Johnston 2
Solva 2 - Narberth 3
Tenby 4 - Neyland 1
