In his first season at Hakin after transferring from Haverfordwest County very early in the season. Matthew has quickly established himself on the right side of the defence as a very strong and dominant player, in the tackle and in aerial duals, who has forged a very reliable partnership with his fellow defenders.

Leigh transferred from Herbrandston early this season and has settled into the left sided defensive position very quickly to form a very strong defensive partnership with his team mates. He is a strong and quick player with a cultured left foot who if the opportunity should arise will relish going forward to attack the opposing defence at every opportunity.

Andrew is a product of the Hakin youth side that won the West Wales Youth Cup a few seasons ago. A tall strong and talented player who has been a regular in the first team for a few seasons in the centre of the defence – he has scored some very important goals this season from set pieces and will be encouraged to go forward at every opportunity.

An ex-Monkton player who signed for Hakin at the beginning of the season. Daniel is a very experienced Pembrokeshire League player who has settled into the Hakin side very quickly on the right hand side of the defence. He is very strong in the tackle and loves going forward to attack the opposing defence at every opportunity. Will relish playing in the final today in his first season at Hakin.

Steve is a long-serving and very experienced player for Hakin. If Steve performs at his very best today he could be the key to success for Hakin in Today’s final. Steve is talented and very reliable in the middle of the midfield for Hakin and has performed consistently again this season for Hakin. Like many of the Hakin players Steve has won Pembrokeshire League, Pembrokeshire Senior Cup and West Wales Cup Medals with Hakin United.

Ashley has been a regular in the Hakin first team for three seasons as a very motivated, strong, talented player who has scored some brilliant goals this season. He never stops running for the whole of the game and will be a handful for today’s opposing defenders – and another Hakin player who is playing at the top of his form and he has also been selected for the WWFA Regional Squad this season.

In his second spell at Hakin, Michael is one of the most experienced players in the teams and has won Pembrokeshire League, Cup and West Wales Cup winners’ medals with Hakin. He is a naturally fit player who gives 100% for the full 90 minutes and it will be very difficult for today’s opponents to contain Coops if he is on top of his form.

A legend in Pembrokeshire Football, Jonah has played in League of Wales, Welsh League Football and has also appeared in six senior cup finals and all of Hakin’s finals in the WWFA Cup and has a hatful of League winners’ medals in the Pembrokeshire League first division. On many occasions Jonah has been the top league goal scorers in Pembrokeshire Football and is once again one of the top scorers this season.

Nicky signed for Hakin very early in the season on a transfer from Herbrandston. Has formed a lethal partnership with his fellow strike partner Jonah and has quickly rediscovered his scoring touch and is one of the top scorers in the League this season. Nicky has got the experience of playing for the past two seasons in the Welsh Premier and this has shown in his performances this season for Hakin.

Jamie transferred to Hakin earlier this season and quickly settled into the first team and has been a regular in the first team squad all season. He is a very confident young player and has scored some very important goals for Hakin this season. He is a player who loves to attack the opposing defence at every opportunity and will be a handful for today’s opposing defenders with his quick and skilful runs at the opposition.

Despite only playing a handful of games this season because of other sporting commitments, Leigh is in contention to be included in the cup final squad and could be playing along side his brother Mathew at some time during the final. Leigh is a very strong and committed player who always gives a whole hearted performance when he plays. Loves getting forward at every set piece and during the last few games of the season has come on as a substitute and has scored some important goals which has enabled Hakin to stay in contention for the League Title this season.

This is Gary’s fourth season as Manager and has already had league and cup success at Hakin during his time as manager. For over 10 years, Gary played in the Hakin side that accomplished the double on four occasions and won the League title for seven consecutive seasons. Gary is very highly respected by everyone at Hakin United and is a very motivated manager who will ensure that every Hakin player who is in today’s Cup Final squad will be fully focused for the biggest day of the season in Pembrokeshire League Football.

Gary’s right hand man for the four seasons that Gary has been Manager and very popular with everyone at Hakin United. Jimmy played Welsh League and Pembrokeshire League football for over ten years with Milford United and Hakin and this experience is invaluable in the dressing room at half time when some games are not quite going to plan.
 

**Hakin United will be without three regulars for the final in skipper Ewan Findlay, goalkeeper Adrian Devonald and full back Scott Davies – all three will be attending a friend’s wedding in Ireland!**

Morgan is another useful footballer who has found his niche at the heart of the defence and playing well alongside Dave Rees. Again, he is good in the air and a powerful tackler – but also adept at getting the ball to his midfield.

He is another hard-working but very skilful midfielder who can use the ball well to get his front runners into space. Matthew can score vital goals and will be heavily involved in all that the team does.

Craig has the ability to create space for himself wide out and is a danger with his ability to beat a man and fire that ball into the danger zone. He is the son of assistant manager Jonathan George – and scored the vital first goal in the semi-final.

Harry has made a welcome return from Swansea and played really well in the semi-final with his strong running allied to lovely touches on the ball. He is a key player and has been selected for the Great Britain Deaf team for the European Cup as a measure of the quality of his play.

Jonathan is the perfect foil for Mr Roberts with his quiet, unassuming ways and good reading of the play. He played well for Pembroke Borough, Lamphey and Hundleton and is always there for the players, and ready to any jobs for the team’s good.

Dave Badger has been rewarded with the role of referee at the Senior Cup Final after being involved since he arrived in Pembrokeshire from Rugby in 2006 – and wishes he had come here 30 years sooner! A keen Aston Villa supporter from the days of Andy Grey and Peter Withe, he started reffing in 2003 after being involved as a player at Rugby FC for many years as a back four regular and then becoming secretary there. He also reffed the Rugby and District Final as well as officiating in the Midlands Combination League and now the Welsh League. Dave is minute secretary of the Pembrokeshire Referees’ Society and was assistant to Alan Boswell at a previous Senior Cup Final – and will receive every support from wife Lesley, plus children Sallyanne, Jack and Rosie.

Jeff Hurton                        Aged:-  56               Card Shop Owner
Jeff is now a very experienced referee, having done the job for the past ten seasons,  enjoying his involvement as much as ever, and very much looking forward to being assistant referee at the Senior Cup Final. Football has always been his favourite sport and Jeff was heavily involved previously in Bournemouth, where he helped look after an under 11 team, in which his son Adrian played, before coming back to Pembrokeshire with wife Yvonne, daughter Becky, plus sons Adrian and Alex. Jeff has officiated at the Division Five Final and several junior finals and is understandable looking forward to a big day at the Bridge Meadow Stadium.

Sean O’Connor            Aged:-  53               Part Time Shop Worker
Sean was rightly regarded as a very good footballer in his own right as he played as a central defender with very good Fishguard Sports and Goodwick United teams before he began reffing almost five years ago. Sean will complete a hat-trick of medals in this final because he already has winners’ trophies as a player, beating Milford Athletic in 1988 and manager (against Hakin United) in 1999 – and will collect a memento as assistant referee at the Senior Cup. He has previously taken charge of the Division Five and Under 16 Cup Finals – and must surely officiate at a Senior Cup Final in the future. Sean will receive lots of encouragement from wife Beverley, plus daughters Emily and Sophie.

Ian takes on the role of fourth official after refereeing the Senior Cup Final in 2008/9, plus the Third Division and Reserve Division Cup Finals before that.
