Bernie beats The Expert - but he claims he can smell a rat!
The Expert can smell a rat as he narrowly lost 6-5 after Saturday's full programme of results that were thankfully completed. Bernie predicted that his team Goodwick United (he’s there manager) would win 3-1 at Solva, and what happened they won by that exact score line. "Two can play at that game," said the Expert. "I'm told he instructed his side to step off the gas and make sure they don't concede or score any more goals as it would give him two precious points."
Bernie took full advantage to take a slender 15-14 overall lead, and it will be an interesting conclusion when they fight for supremacy next week.

Can Big Bernie beat The Expert?
The freezing conditions that cut short the football programme last weekend again let Bernie Armstrong off the hook as he tries to prevent The Expert completing a hat-trick of successes over the Goodwick United manager.
Big Bernie was lucky because he had rashly tipped Monkton Swifts to beat Haverfordwest County in the Senior Cup whilst The Expert correctly forecast a Bluebirds’ win – and was allowed to have it discounted since so many other matches were off!
The Expert was scathing of Big Bernie’s selection and said,
“If that is a measure of his tipping ability then he has no chance. To be honest, I’m a bit bored with him now so I have to put him out of his misery.
“My mole at the Armstrong ten-bedroom hotel in Goodwick tells me that is driving them mad, and even keeping the long-suffering Mrs A, who is far too good for him, awake discussing form deep into the night. It really is time for him to go now!”
So Big Bernard – watch out on Saturday – you are doomed!
