Beat the Expert Week One:
Football fixtures for 13th November 2010
The Expert takes an early lead against Mr T
The Expert took an early slender 8-7 lead after Saturday's Senior Cup and one Division One fixture. "I'm going to have to be at my very best to beat Mr T. He really does know his stuff," said the Expert. "Mr T only got two predictions wrong and I only got one, but he will try his best to get back at me next week - but I'm ready for Mr. T - bring it on!"
The Expert wants to take Mr T apart!
Well, what a shock as the motley Manderwood Mob actually edged out The Expert by a single point over the last four weeks to prove that sheer brawn can sometimes beat brain.
To be fair to The Expert, he was unusually decent in defeat as he acknowledged how much Messrs Hannon, Harding, Davies, Mills, Malloy and Chapman had improved over the previous two seasons – but it could have something to do with the fact that their boss, Chris Tansey, had disassociated himself from their efforts and they were uninhibited without Mr T there!
Well now it’s time for the Manderwood big chief to show his predicting talents over the next four weeks – and we can warn him that The Expert is raring to go.
“Perhaps I was too soft on that puny sextet in Manderwood and I have to live with that,” said our ace tipster, “but losing to their boss would be too much to bear; nearly as bad as losing again to Daisy Picton!
“I am going to get back into winning ways against Tansey – so he had better watch out or he’ll be so far behind we will be in different weeks!”

Chris Tansey’s Predictions
Division One Fixture:
Clarbeston Road 3 - Kilgetty 2
Both sides are struggling in the first division and there could be lots of goals – but I think Clarbie will just edge it!Senior Cup Second Round Fixtures:
Goodwick United 3 - Saundersfoot Sports 0
Saundersfoot used to be a top team but are now in Division Two so I have to go for a win by Bernie’s Boys!Hakin United 4 - Narberth 0
Hakin are playing well and have proven goal scorers so I think they will be too strong for Narberth.Haverfordwest County 3 - Solva 1
The form book says a home win and I can’t go against that – although Peter Cole has built a good team spirit at Solva.Johnston 4 - Angle 1
Johnston are the only side to beat Hakin this season and they played well in the West Wales Cup last weekend so that is good enough for me!Merlins Bridge 3 - Monkton Swifts 2
I think The Expert might put this as a runaway home win but I have a feeling that it might be closer than he thinks, because the Swifts have a good cup tradition and will be up for this one!Milford Athletic 1 - Herbrandston 2
I daren’t tip against Herbrandston or I’ll have earache off Modesto Galdo for a month. They have some very good players back in the fold and it won’t be easy for them at Pill Lane – but I think they will go through by the odd goal.Neyland 4 - Hubberston 0
Neyland are the hot favourites here and I think they will win with something in hand.Pennar Robins 2 - Tenby 1
This looks like the match of the round, with two very good teams that seem evenly matched. But the Robins have had a good run recently and with home advantage should just about ease through.
