Can Bevan Boys wrest back initiative from the Expert?
The Expert and the Bevan Boys finished all square again last Saturday as both scored four points to set up a tantalising final Saturday where the Bevan Boys try to wrest back the initiative from The Expert.
The Expert was really cruel to Huw, Richard and Tom Bevan last week and certainly hasn’t eased up this week as he tries to ruin their credibility as pundits.
“All this nonsense of each writing down their score and then discussing things and coming up with majority verdicts – it makes me laugh. My mole in the family told me they were up most of Saturday night and even missed church on Sunday because they were so busy trying to reach their decisions! Why don’t they just write anything down because they would have just as much chance. I’ve just coasted the last two weekends to try not to make them look to daft but now they are going to feel the full wrath of The Expert.
The only pity is that Clarbeston Road are not playing because they would have voted for their own club and that would have been a certain point for me. But it doesn’t matter since the result is already a formality and I can wrap things up with the Bevan Boys, or Clarbie Clowns as I would prefer to call them!”
Speaking on behalf of Richard, Tom and himself, Huw admitted that he and the boys have researched well over the weekend.
“We would have been even closer if the boys had listened to me but we have spent some time last weekend trying to beat The Expert and he could be in for a big shock on Saturday night,” said Huw, “but win or lose we will shake his hand and have enjoyed our stint with pembrokeshireSport.co.uk.”

The Bevan Boys’ Predictions:
Division One:
Haverfordwest County 2 - Prendergast Villa 0
We were unanimous on this one because Haverfordwest will be looking to bounce back from defeat at Neyland.Kilgetty 3 - Pennar Robins 2
Tom went for Pennar but was outvoted by Richard and I. We believe that Kilgetty will edge it against a below-strength Robins.Monkton Swifts 0 - Hakin United 3
Hakin will have their players back from suspension and they will be raring to go – so we all chose the Vikings!Neyland 1 - Goodwick United 2
The toughest of them all to predict! Neyland are always hard to beat at home but Goodwick are in good nick so we think they will extend their unbeaten run in a tight finish.Solva 1 - Herbrandston 1
I went for Solva, Richard picked Herbie and Tom thought it would be a draw – so we went for a draw!Tenby 1 - Merlins Bridge 2
Another hard match to predict but we believe that the Bridge will edge it by the odd goal in three!West Wales Cup Quarter Final:
Pengeli United 1 - Narberth 2
Pengeli are third in Carmarthenshire but we think that Narberth will just shade this one!The Experts’ Scorecasts:
Division One:
Haverfordwest County 3 - Prendergast Villa 1
Kilgetty 2 - Pennar Robins 1
Monkton Swifts 1 - Hakin United 3
Neyland 1 - Goodwick United 3
