Bad weather strikes again
Once again bad weather disrupted Saturday's Manderwood Pembrokeshire football league and cup programme. All Senior Cup matches had to be postponed because a combination of snow thawing and heavy rain meant a lot of pitches in the county were deemed waterlogged. Only one match was completed in Division One. Pennar Robins entertained Solva where it finished 1-1 and both the Manderwood Mob and 'The Expert' predicted a home win, so this week's preditions finished pointless! Roll on next week because surely there will be more football matches played in the county - but Pembrokeshiresport.co.uk won't bet on it!
The Manderwood Mob is in confident mood as they hope to take on The Expert for the second week and trailing by two clear points.
The lads meet over a cup of coffee to discuss the games, presided over by boss Chris Tansey, and as well as hoping to beat The Expert they are all aiming to win their own internal competition.
The Expert says that if they can’t win with seven of them against one they should be ashamed of themselves and he says that all this waste of time over a coffee should come out of their wages!
Since he is clearly still full of the Christmas spirit it will be interesting to see if he gives them any gifts this weekend – but somehow we doubt it!

The Manderwood Mob’s Forecasts
Division One:
Clarbeston Road 1 - Goodwick United 3
We were 100% in favour of an away win and we think Bernie’s Boys will win by two clear goals.Monkton Swifts 1 - Hakin United 3
Again all seven of us were in favour of an away win, but with scores ranging from 2-3 to 0-5 so we went for something in the middle.Pennar Robins 3 - Solva 1
Same again – all going for a comfortable home win at Bush Camp.Senior Cup – Round Two:
Haverfordwest County 3 - Kilgetty 1
All of us again went for a Haverfordwest County win and we went for the average forecast amongst the boys.Merlins Bridge 4 - Neyland 1
Six of us went for an easy home win. The only exception was Sean Hannon, who felt that his Neyland boys would win 2-0 because they are up for victory!Prendergast Villa 3 - Hundleton 2
This was our most debated match. Four went for home wins, two for another draw and the boss (Chris Tansey) went for a shock away win. He tried to pull rank but he was outvoted!Tenby 2 - Narberth 1
We thought this would be a home win but the hardest-fought of them all. It should be heck of a match. The Expert’s Scorecasts
