Manderwood makes a welcome return to action
After Matthew Price edged home against The Expert after a protracted contest heavily influenced by The Expert, our man was quick to praise ‘Pricey’ for being only the second tipster to beat him.
“Daisy Picton was the first, last season, and look what I did to him later in the year. I have asked Pricey for a rematch later in the season and then we’ll see just how good he is with four full programmes of games. Pricey can enjoy his glory now but needs to remember that pride comes before a fall – and his will be mighty big!”
The Expert will now need to show he hasn’t lost his sparkle in the rain as we welcome back the boys from Manderwood. They were hopeless last season so can only get better under the guidance of Chris Tansey, who gave them too much rope last season. Shaun Mills, Paul Chapman, Dai Malloy, Justin Harding, Sean Hannon and Scott Davies are the other sportsmen involved in the Manderwood back-room staff.
Manderwood sponsor the Pembrokeshire League and are also valued sponsors of our site but The Expert intends showing no mercy so it will be interesting to see how they get on!

Manderwood’s Predictions
West Wales Cup:
Narberth 1 - Ragged School 3
Shaun Mills thought Narberth might win but the rest of us thought Ragged School might be too experienced.Division One:
Clarbeston Road 1 - Hakin United 4
We were unanimous that Hakin would win with scores of between 5-0 and 2-1 but decided on a three-goal margin after a lot of debate.Haverfordwest County 3 - Solva 1
We were also all in agreement here because Haverfordwest County should be too strong at home.Kilgetty 1 - Goodwick United 2
Two went for a draw but in the end everyone else thought Goodwick would just shade things so we put them to win by a single goal.Monkton Swifts 1 - Pennar Robins 3
We all thought Pennar would win this one by at least two goals.Neyland 1 - Tenby 2
Chris Tansey (the boss!) and Sean Hannon (who plays for Neyland!) thought the Nomads might snatch a win but we went overall for a narrow win for Tenby.Prendergast Villa 2 - Herbrandston 2
Three went for the draw so we thought it could end up all square because both can score goals but also give away a few!The Expert’s Scorecasts:
West Wales Cup:
Narberth 1 - Ragged School 2
Division One:
Clarbeston Road 0 - Hakin United 4
Haverfordwest County 2 - Solva 1
Kilgetty 1 - Goodwick United 2
