Beat the Expert - Week 2

Pricey’s on the back foot already!

Once again the Expert oozed class with his latest predictions to take a slender 5-4 lead over Merlins Bridge's player/manager Matthew Price after the first week of their confrontation.
Pricey may be used to winning on the football pitch as his team are currently top of Division One, but when it comes down to predicting results he has more than met his match in testing his wits against The Expert.

Matthew told PembrokeshireSport.co.uk,

            “I have taken more time this week looking at the excellent league tables on the site, especially the details about home and away form, which is brilliant. I now know what I need to do and will hope to be at least level after next Saturday.”

But with Pricey already behind, our mole tells us that he was up at 7.30am on Sunday, rattling his brains (if he's got any left) as the intense pressure mounts over the next three weeks. The Bridge's team are nicknamed the Wizards, and The Expert taunts Pricey by saying,

"Well Pricey, find a better spell, because yours is definitely not working any magic.  And what's more there are plenty of sleepless nights ahead for you - and watch out since The Expert will prove to be your worst nightmare!

Pricey’s Forecasts

 

Division One: 

Clarbeston Road 2 - Solva 2

I had too much faith in Clarbie last Saturday and they haven’t won at home – but Solva haven’t won away either this could go either way and I think I’ll go for a draw/

Goodwick United 0 - Pennar Robins 1

I apologise to Bernie (Armstrong) in advance because I get their result wrong last weekend and I am going against them again! Their home form hasn’t been brilliant and Pennar are a good side who have only lost to us so far – and I think they might just sneak it by the only goal.

Kilgetty 1 - Hakin United 3

Hakin are beginning to find their best form and have a 100% away record whilst Kilgetty won well last week against Monkton – but I still believe Hakin will have too much fire-power here.

Merlins Bridge 3 - Tenby 1

Our games keep getting bigger and bigger – and Tenby are a huge test for us because Mike Lewis will have them fit and raring to go. But we have home advantage and will also be eager to keep our unbeaten record so we are confident without being too cocky.

 

Monkton Swifts 2 - Herbrandston 1

This match could go either way since both need the points but the Swifts are at home and Herbie need to find some kind of goal-scoring touch – so I’ll opt for the Swifts.

Narberth 1 - Haverfordwest County 2

Another very tough match to forecast because Narberth will be desperate to bounce back to winning ways, whilst Haverfordwest County could have a strong squad and might spring a surprise win at Jesse Road.

Neyland 1 - Prendergast Villa 2

Neyland pushed Pennar all the way before going down to an own goal but the Villa are growing in confidence. It is bound to be close but I think the Villa will pouch the league points here
