Pre-season friendly:

Goytre United 2 goals - Haverfordwest County 2 goals
Haverfordwest County came away with a draw in what was described as a ‘feisty’ encounter at Goytre on Tuesday (11th August) night.
The visitors took a 15th minute lead, thanks to Nicky Woodrow, who latched onto Jarrod Price’s cross from the left, and the striker, made no mistake inside the six-yard area.
The home side equalised through Dale Price, before Richard Ryan cracked a 25-yard wonder goal to give Goytre a 2-1 half-time lead.
Bluebirds’ manager Derek Brazil changed from a 4-4-2 system to a 4-3-3, and that certainly did the trick in the second half. On came substitutes Kyle Graves, Robbie Walters and Jamie Bradford, and the latter orchestrated matters in a central midfield role.
Jack Christopher equalised from the penalty spot in the 60th minute, after Woodrow was upended in the box.
The home side finished the game with ten-men, and they could have easily finished with nine, as the referee asked one of their players to be substituted before he would have been issued a straight red card.

Haverfordwest County: Lee Idzi; Terry Evans (Captain); Lee Bevan; Bobby Briers; Jack Jones; Jarrod Price; Dylan Blain; Carl Jenkins; Kevin Morgan; Jack Christopher; Nicky Woodrow. Substitutes: Jamie Bradford; Kyle Graves; Robbie Walters; Paul Micheal.

Pre-season friendly:
Robbie grabs two quick-fire goals to seal Bluebirds’ away victory
Ton Pentre 0 goals - Haverfordwest County 2 goals
Haverfordwest County’s impressive pre-season form continued with an excellent two-goal away win at Ton Pentre on Saturday (8th August) afternoon.
Bluebirds’ boss Derek Brazil is delighted with the way his squad is shaping up just a week away from the kick-off of the Principality Welsh Premier.
The cagey manager kept his cards close to his chest and would not reveal his starting line-up for next week’s Welsh Premier opener, but only to say he has 18 quality players in his squad and places are still up for grabs.
On a baking hot afternoon the clash against Welsh League Division One opponents Ton Pentre remained goalless at the interval.
But things quickly changed in the second half as new recruit striker Robbie Walters scored two crackers in quick succession in 70th and 73rd minutes.
The striker made no mistake with the first from 18 yards and lashed home an even better strike from 25 yards to settle the outcome.
The Bluebirds travel to Goytre on Tuesday (11th August) for their final pre-season friendly, before they face Technogroup Welshpool, in the opening Principality Welsh Premier fixture at home on Saturday (15th August) at the Bridge Meadow, kick-off at 2.30pm.

Pre-season friendly:
Price is right for Jarrod’s double strike for impressive Bluebirds
Haverfordwest County 3 goals - Afan Lido 0 goals
Jarrod Price scored a goal in each half to ensure Haverfordwest County gained a comfortable three-goal victory over Afan Lido at the Bridge Meadow on Tuesday (4th August) evening. The left sided midfielder took both goals brilliantly. A vicious 20th minute edge of the area effort left Lido goalkeeper Brendan Cropley, clutching fresh air, as the ball ripped into the back of the net for the first. Impressive right-sided midfielder Jonathan Clarke’s teasing cross led to Price, exquisitely tucking the ball into the bottom corner for the second.
The Welsh League Division One visitors had plenty of scoring chances, but each time Bluebirds’ goalkeeper Lee Idzi pulled off a string of superb saves to deny them. The Bluebirds’ grabbed a third goal virtually right on full time. Substitute Steffan Williams dispossessed a Lido midfielder and ran clear to unselfishly set-up Robbie Walters, and the striker wasted no time as he deftly curled it into the bottom corner to complete the scoring.
Before kick-off both teams observed a minute silence for loyal Haverfordwest County supporter Herbert John, a former postman, who has sadly died. John Hughes the Bridge Meadow public address announcer won the half time raffle for the first time in nearly 50 years, but he generously gave back the prize to be redrawn.
Haverfordwest County: Lee Idzi; Terry Evans; Dyfan Pierce; Gareth Elliott; Lee Bevan; Bobby Briers; Jarrod Price; Kyle Graves; Robbie Walters; Jack Christopher; Jonathan Clarke. Substitutes: Nicky Woodrow; Matthew Roberts; Mike Hartley; Kevin Morgan; Steffan Williams.

Four goal joy for Saint Christopher
Haverfordwest County 5 goals Bryntirion 2 goals
Hot-shot striker Jack Christopher bagged four goals for Haverfordwest County in an easy victory over Bryntirion at the Bridge Meadow on Saturday (August 1st).
The Bluebirds led by one nothing at the break, thanks to Christopher breaking the deadlock on 20 minutes, against opponents who play in Welsh League Division One.
Christopher found the back of the net in the early stages of the second half, before the visitors pulled one back through Robbie Huddleston.
Substitute Jonathan Clarke came off the bench and made an impact by scoring an absolute screamer for the Bluebirds’ third but the visitors, to their credit, didn’t throw in the towel as Anthony Ralings added their second goal of the afternoon.
However, the Bluebirds finished the stronger as Christopher was on target for a well deserved hat-trick for the fourth, and right at the death Christopher struck the Bluebirds’ fifth from the penalty spot to complete a good day at the office.
