A delivery from Simon Cole drew an improvised stroke from Nick Kooman (34) . . which was caught by Stefan Jenkins at backward point, to the delight of the Cresselly supporters.
 
Gregg Miller suffered an unlucky dismissal . . while backing-up a powerful straight drive from Jeremy Charles, the ball was stopped by the stumps at the bowlers end, leaving Gregg out of his ground, with the bowler only needing to pick the ball up and pull a stump out of the ground. Neyland closed their first innings on 142 for 5.

. . but lost his wicket in the same over, with a well-judged catch by Andrew Miller.

. . and Lyn Richards (13) swung the bat towards the end of Cresselly's first innings, which closed on 135, just seven runs behind Neyland.
