Pembrokeshire Karting steps up a gear
The Pembrokeshire Karting Championship stepped up a gear during the recent second round at Carew Karting with all drivers evenly matched in pace, although it was newcomer Jason Cole from Pembroke who won the overall event from pole position in the final.
Championship favourites, Colin Mason & Adam Jones, also put in dominant performances and provided spectators with some incredible overtaking manoeuvres during the final to claim second and third respectively. The result will mean the final Round of the 2009 Championship will provide a fitting climax as Adam and Colin are both tied on points at the top of the standings. These two drivers will inevitably put on a good show for all.
Close-fought battle
Elsewhere in the Championship, twelve points separate Adam Evans in third from John Mason in tenth. With every driver wanting to gain vital points over the others, they will have to pull out all the stops and provide plenty of thrills and spills in the process.
The organisers would like to thank all competitors who took part in the event and also send gratitude to the spectators who braved the cool conditions on the day. The final round will be held at 11am on August 16th 2009 at Carew Karting. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether to spectate or participate, though places are limited so if you’re interested please visit www.kartingcrew.co.uk to register a place.
