Football Preview for 4th October 2008
Daisy’s out to beat the expert
Bernie Armstrong’s five week spell as tipster ended with him battling bravely but being pipped by a single point by our expert – so hard lines Bernardo!
This week we are delighted to welcome David ‘Daisy’ Picton of Hakin United fame, to start a month as our tipster and have set him something of a challenge to start since there are West Wales Cup matches to preview.
We have selected ten matches for Daisy to try and beat our expert, who is a top man and knows all about football in Carmarthenshire and Swansea so watch out Daisy!

Daisy’s Scorecasts:
Blaenymaes 3 St Ishmaels 1
Tish are not the best travellers and might struggle here!
Clarbeston Road 4 Gowerton Juniors 3
Gowerton have started the season well but Clarbie are no mugs now. It could be a high-scoring match before Clarbie ease through.
Goodwick United 3 Carreg Wen Colts 1
I think Goodwick will be too strong for Carreg Wen, who play in Division Two of the Swansea league, especially playing at home.
Merlins Bridge 3 Pengelli United 1
The Bridge are looking strong again and they will win by at least two goals.
Milford United 1 Monkton Swifts 3
Milford United are bonny cup battlers and they will be up for claiming a surprise scalp but the Swifts should be far too experienced to allow that.
Murton Rovers 3 Neyland 1
Murton are struggling in Division Three of the Swansea League but Neyland might be without a couple of key players and could bow out at this early stage.
Narberth 2 Evans & Williams 4
Narberth will push Evans & Williams all the way but the visitors have won all four games so far to sit top of the Swansea League so they are favourites to win.
Pontarddulais Town 1 Hakin United 4
The Bont are eighth in Division One of the Carmarthenshire League so must be able to play a bit but I believe we will be too strong for them if we hit top form.
Ragged School 2 Pennar Robins 0
Ragged School are traditionally strong in this competition and with home advantage might just be too strong for Pennar with home advantage.
Solva 3 Calsonic Kansei 2
Calsonic might be third in Division One in Carmarthenshire but Solva love playing at home, especially if it is windy, and should edge through by the odd goal.
The Expert's Scorecasts:
Blaenymaes 0 St Ishmaels 3
Clarbeston Road 3 Gowerton Juniors 1
Goodwick United 5 Carreg Wen Colts 2

Murton Rovers 1 Neyland 3
